Premium Sports is on IPTV!
As of January 1, 2011, Premium Sports transitioned from satellite and onto an IPTV broadcasting system for our commercial customers (bars, restaurants and clubs). This IPTV system works by transmitting a signal across internet lines, much like with cable lines and phone lines. One important thing to understand is that the new system does not use the World Wibe Web — meaning the programming must be watched on a receiver box and not on a computer.
Our channels can be found on channels 351 to 359 on this special decoder box.
Do not lose your remote control. Your remote is required to operate the decoder box.

What is IPTV?
IPTV is a system of broadcasting that uses internet lines to transmit a video feed. While this system does use internet lines for transmission, it does not work with computers or internet browers such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. We provide a decoder box.
What are the benefits of using an IPTV system?
There are several benefits to switching to IPTV broadcasting:
1. The IPTV system provides a higher-quality feed than on satellite, and will allow us to broadcast some games in High Definition. (The receiver box has HDMI and component outputs, as well as the red-yellow-white component outputs your satellite box already uses.)
2. Setup for IPTV systems is easy. We have already been contacting each business individually, and helping those without internet access to determine the best Internet service provider and plan for their needs.
3. Internet-based television broadcasts are rarely affected by the weather. You will no longer need to pay a satellite installer upwards of $120 per hour to realign the dish after a storm, or send somebody to clear the dish after a snowfall.
How do I connect the decoder box?
You will receive a set of instructions with your new IPTV decoder box. These instructions are included below:
1. You will need to plug in an active internet connection into the back of the receiver. The Ethernet cord included with this package is 14 feet long.
2. After an active internet line is plugged into the box, you will need to hook it up to your TV system. This can be done using a composite (yellow, white and red jacks), component (red, green and blue jacks) or HDMI cord. Composite is the current cord used for the satellite receiver, whilte component and HDMI are better-quality connections.
3. After the box is plugged into the internet and into your TV system, please use the power cord included to turn the box on.
What does my business or club need to set up the IPTV system?
A high-speed internet connection capable of download speeds of at least 6 to 10 Mbps. Please do not hesitate to give us a call at 415-400-4869 if you are unsure of whether your internet connection qualifies. The decoder box connects to your TV system using either composite, component or HDMI cables.
What are my High Definition options?
As of Feburary 2011, select events are now offered in HD. For best image quality, we recommend using an HDMI cable. Another option is using component (red-green-blue) cables — this will provide excellent image quality, though somewhat below that of HDMI. Regardless of whether the signal is broadcast in high definition or standard definition, using component or HDMI cables will greatly improve the crispness of the video.
How do I change the channel and operate the box?
The remote is required to use the decoder box.
Please make sure that you and your staff keep it in a safe place. The IPTV remote uses two AAA batteries, which are included.
What is the standby timer?
The standby timer ensures that bandwidth usage is protected in order to keep your internet connection running as smoothly and quickly as possible. It is currently set to appear 2 hours after the remote is last used. To prevent this message from appearing during an event, press any button on the remote, such as the OK button, before the kickoff of each new game.
Can I change the standby timer?
It is currently set systemwide to 2 hours. We are working on increasing the timer to 3 hours.
